Auralic Aries S1 Streaming Processor

Aries S1 is Auralic’s latest entry level audio streamer. Powered by Auralic’s cutting edge Tesla G3 streaming platform, the Aries S1 inherits premium audio technologies from the acclaimed G2.2 reference products, including Direct Memory Access (DMA), Direct Data Recording (DDR), Galvanic Isolation and more.

Flexible Connectivity

Aries S1 features USB, AES, coaxial and optical digital outputs for compatibility with pretty much any DAC. It supports seamless streaming via Ethernet through Auralic’s Lightning DS, Apple AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect and Internet Radio. Aries S1 is currently undergoing Roon Ready certification.

For the first time in the Aries lineup, this product can process incoming signals from digital or USB inputs. It includes USB, coaxial and optical digital inputs, allowing it to act as a hub for your other digital sources.

Powerful Processing

The Aries S1 has undergone a significant evolution, transitioning from a streaming transport or bridge to a robust streaming processor. With its advanced onboard processing capabilities, Aries S1 now offers a plethora of processing features aimed at optimising the audio signal. These include a high-quality resampler, parametric equaliser, speaker placement compensation and loudness levelling tools.

Leveraging its onboard Tesla G3 platform, the Aries S1 processes the signal, effectively removing jitter and artifacts before applying user-selected processing features to enhance the audio quality. The processed signal is then output via USB, AES, coaxial or optical digital connection, ensuring an enriched listening experience that remains faithful to the original source.

Parametric Equaliser

The latest Aries audio processors have built-in parametric EQ. This powerful feature enables a numbers of useful capabilities. You can use it to perform room correction, shape the tone curve of your speakers to suit your taste, or fit larger speakers into a smaller space or close to a wall, without any unwanted boom.

Speaker Placement Compensation

Auralic’s Aries processors include advanced Speaker Placement Compensation technology, which takes traditional balance control to the next level. Like a standard balance control, it allows you to adjust the relative output levels of the left and right channels. This is particularly useful if your listening position isn’t perfectly centred between the speakers.

What sets Speaker Placement Compensation apart is its ability to delay one channel relative to the other. This ensures the speakers are not just level-matched but also perfectly time and phase-aligned, delivering precise stereo imaging and a more immersive soundstage – even when your listening position isn’t ideal.

Optional Power Supply Upgrade
