Chord Epic X XLR was adapted to use an extra conductor for optimum performance and improved noise rejection when driven as a balanced line. Like the Epic X RCA cable, it is capable of carrying a very high level of detail with great musical coherence.

There are growing numbers of home audio components appearing with XLR connections and, depending on the component’s internal design, using its XLR connections can provide a boost in signal to noise ratio and potentially better noise rejection over longer cable runs.
