The Chord Epic streaming cable has been developed for use with digital audio streaming components, as an alternative to standard Ethernet cables.
Standard Ethernet cables do not use high quality silver plated conductors, high speed insulation materials, high density separate pair shielding or high density overall shielding. Neither do they use Chord’s unique ARAY conductor geometry.
The Epic streaming cable uses a high precision RJ45 connector that Chord modifies in order to be able to directly solder the conductors to the contact pins.
One of the more pleasurable aspects of working at Chord Company is the demonstration room. It means spending lots of time listening to music. It is a tough job but someone has got to do it. Chord started listening to streamers when they first became available and started experimenting with their cables very soon after. Successful early trials led to them adapting the ARAY conductor concept to work with streaming cables.
The Epic streaming cable can help your system sound musically coherent, involving and detailed. Chord does not produce any product that does not add to the musical experience, so put any preconceptions to one side, borrow one and have a listen.
