Dutch & Dutch 6c Studio Active Speakers

The 6c Studio is the professional counterpart to the Dutch & Dutch 6c: a fully active three-way loudspeaker sharing the same cabinet, drivers and acoustic architecture, but stripped of the built-in streaming features. What remains is the pure monitoring capability that defines Dutch & Dutch — precision engineering, cardioid directivity control and room-adaptive DSP, in a form designed to integrate cleanly with professional signal chains and high-end source components.

Where the 6c is built for the living room, the 6c Studio is built for environments where the source is already taken care of — recording studios, mastering suites, dedicated listening rooms, and systems built around a reference DAC, streamer or music server. It accepts analogue and digital inputs directly, placing the source decision entirely in your hands.

Physically, the 6c Studio is available in matt white and matt black — the same refined cabinet as the standard 6c, without compromise to fit or finish.

The same acoustic foundation

Inside, the 6c Studio is identical to the 6c where it matters most. Three dedicated amplifiers — 500W for the long-throw bass driver, 175W for the midrange, and 140W for the tweeter — are managed by the same advanced DSP platform, delivering precisely controlled, phase-coherent output across the full frequency range.

The cardioid low-frequency design remains: rear-facing bass radiation is cancelled by a second driver operating in opposition, directing energy towards the listener and dramatically reducing room boundary excitation. The result is deep, controlled bass with far less dependence on room treatment than a conventional loudspeaker demands.

Designed to work with your room, not against it

The 6c Studio features the same RoomMatching technology as the wider Dutch & Dutch range. Rather than requiring an acoustically ideal environment, the speaker actively adapts to its surroundings — compensating for boundary proximity, room modes and placement constraints through precisely tuned DSP filters. In practice, this means the 6c Studio can deliver accurate, consistent monitoring in spaces that would trouble a conventional loudspeaker.

A reference-class monitor for real spaces

Traditional studio monitors are designed around purpose-built acoustic environments. The 6c Studio takes a different approach: by combining cardioid dispersion control with adaptive room correction, it achieves monitor-grade accuracy in spaces that haven’t been purpose-built. For home studios, hybrid working environments or dedicated listening rooms where full acoustic treatment isn’t practical, that’s a significant advantage.

If you’d prefer a single, self-contained system with Spotify Connect and Roon support built in, the Dutch & Dutch 6c may be the better fit. The acoustic performance is identical — the difference is purely in how you connect your music.
