Jern speakers are cast as a one-piece iron structure which ensures massive stability and density, providing unsurpassed resistance to vibrations and resonances. Each enclosure has a pattern of small domes cast into its interior surface. These cast dome structures subdue and disperse standing waves to provide a cabinet which is acoustically completely neutral.

Jern 14 models are specifically designed to be used with a subwoofer and roll off their output below 90 Hz. This design choice greatly reduces the workload of the mid / bass driver, meaning that upper bass and midrange frequencies can be reproduced with far lower distortion or at far higher output levels.

The Jern 14EH is the top model in the Jern range. As such, it features many premium parts. The specification includes a 5.25″ Scanspeak woofer and a 19 mm bespoke Hiquphon gold dome tweeter, Mundorf silver/gold/oil capacitor, Teflon screened internal wiring, lambswool damping and WBT Nextgen speaker terminals. In common with other 14 series models, you also get Jern’s beautiful natural felt damping around the tweeter.
