About the Chord Epic AES/EBU Cable
For systems where the digital link matters
The Chord Epic AES/EBU is designed for systems that use high-quality digital sources with balanced outputs. It’s built to preserve timing, detail and dynamic expression—ensuring your digital signal reaches the DAC intact, without adding noise or losing focus. If you’re looking for a cable that does its job transparently and reliably, this is a strong contender.
Performance that’s immediately apparent
- Tuned ARAY conductor geometry maintains signal coherence and musical flow
- Silver-plated oxygen-free copper conductors with PTFE insulation for accurate, low-loss transmission
- High-density foil and braid shielding helps block external interference
- VEE3 XLR connectors plated with ChorAlloy™, for consistent contact and low intermodulation
- Hand-built in the UK, with standard 1 m and custom lengths available
The result is a cleaner, more stable signal path—one that lets your digital source perform at its best without getting in the way.
A clear step up without altering the character of your system
Epic AES/EBU doesn’t try to impress with a particular ‘sound’. Instead, it gives you more of what your components are already capable of: sharper imaging, better timing, and a stronger sense of space and musical intent.
It’s an easy, effective upgrade for systems where digital delivery plays a central role.
A smart, understated finish
The outer jacket has a light bronze tint, offering a view of the braided shielding beneath. It looks technical and purposeful—at home in a high-end system without drawing unnecessary attention.
Built for people who pay attention to detail
If you’ve reached the point where the quality of your AES/EBU cable feels worth considering, chances are you’ve already fine-tuned your system. This cable exists for that moment—when you’re not chasing change, just removing what’s in the way.
