Drivers & crossover
1″ titanium tweeter
Carried over from Amphion’s flagship Krypton 3X for lower distortion and wider bandwidth than the Argon 7LS tweeter.
2× 6½” aluminium woofers
Splits the bass and lower-midrange load across two drivers for lower distortion at higher output.
1,600Hz crossover point
A deliberately low handover, made possible by controlled dispersion around the tweeter.
Revised crossover network
Re-engineered to manage the added complexity of the twin-woofer layout.
Cabinet & waveguide
5th-generation waveguide
Controls dispersion across the twin-woofer, single-tweeter layout for a wide, consistent sweet spot.
Dual passive radiator loading
Improves bass efficiency much like a port would, but works over a wider band, reaching down to 28Hz (-6dB).
Integrated plinth
Adds stability for the tallest cabinet in the Argon range.
Handmade in Finland
Built and finished at Amphion’s own Kuopio factory.
Finish & options
Full White, Standard White, Black and Walnut finishes
Full White pairs a white cabinet with white grilles and waveguide; Standard White keeps the white cabinet but switches to black grilles and waveguide for more visual contrast.
Colour grilles in any RAL shade
Grille colour can be specified independently of the cabinet finish, and swapped later without replacing the speaker.
