About the Argon 7LX
The Argon 7LX floorstanding loudspeaker’s DNA stems from Amphion’s reference-level Two 18 studio monitor and flagship Krypton 3X home speaker. The same technology, which has helped the world’s top sound engineers capture and create their musical magic, has now been optimised for home use for all to enjoy.
Argon 7LX has exceptionally precise imaging to bring the vocalist right into your living room, and a wide sweet spot to fill your whole home with an uplifting atmosphere. Their controlled dispersion ensures a well-balanced sound – even when you move around the room. Audition the Amphion Argon 7LX, and experience sonic images you can almost touch.
Argon 7LX uses a new titanium-dome tweeter, originally developed for the Krypton 3X, to provide clean and well-extended treble. Amphion’s signature waveguide provides even off-axis dispersion and improves the tweeter’s efficiency. Passive radiators are used instead of reflex ports. These provide similar bass extension, but work over a wider band than a conventional port, ensuring that bass remains fast and agile.
Custom-coloured grilles
Argon 7LX speakers are available with custom-coloured grilles as a no-cost option. Choose any colour from RAL’s extensive palette. When you order this option, we will contact you to discuss your preferred colour choice.

Drivers & crossover
1″ titanium tweeter
Carried over from Amphion’s flagship Krypton 3X for lower distortion and wider bandwidth than the Argon 7LS tweeter.
2× 6½” aluminium woofers
Splits the bass and lower-midrange load across two drivers for lower distortion at higher output.
1,600Hz crossover point
A deliberately low handover, made possible by controlled dispersion around the tweeter.
Revised crossover network
Re-engineered to accommodate the new titanium-dome tweeter.
Cabinet & waveguide
5th-generation waveguide
Controls dispersion across the twin-woofer, single-tweeter layout for a wide, consistent sweet spot.
Dual passive radiator loading
Improves bass efficiency much like a port would, but works over a wider band, reaching down to 28Hz (-6dB).
Integrated plinth
Adds stability for the tallest cabinet in the Argon range.
Handmade in Finland
Built and finished at Amphion’s own Kuopio factory.
Finish & options
Full White, Standard White, Black and Walnut finishes
Full White has a white cabinet and white waveguide. Standard White has a white cabinet and black waveguide, for more visual contrast.
Colour grilles in any RAL shade
Grille colour can be specified independently of the cabinet finish, and swapped later without replacing the speaker.
