About the Hegel H150
Power, precision and streaming made simple
The Hegel H150 is a compact all-in-one integrated amplifier that brings together serious amplifier engineering, modern streaming and genuine day-to-day usability in a single elegant chassis. Replacing the much-loved H120, the H150 sits between the H95 and H190v in the Hegel range. It gives you a cleaner, more complete route into high-performance hi-fi without the need for multiple separate boxes.
What makes the H150 especially appealing is how much it includes without losing sight of sound quality. Alongside 2 x 75 watts of power, you get a high-quality DAC, a built-in moving magnet phono stage, USB-drive playback and Hegel’s latest streaming platform, shared with the H400 and H600. It is designed to handle vinyl, network streaming and conventional digital sources with equal confidence.
Above all, the H150 feels like a proper Hegel amplifier. It sounds controlled, open and musically assured, with a level of grip and composure that belies its size. Whether you are building your first serious two-channel system or refining an existing setup, it is an amplifier that makes strong long-term sense.
Made to fit your life
The H150 is designed for people who want great sound without unnecessary complication. It is compact enough to fit comfortably into real living spaces, yet capable enough to anchor a genuinely serious hi-fi system.
You can stream directly from your preferred apps, connect a turntable without adding a separate phono stage, or plug in digital sources and let the H150 act as the heart of the whole system. Used as a simple one-box solution, it already offers an impressive amount of flexibility. Over time, it can also grow with you as your system develops.
That is really the H150’s appeal. It gives you the convenience many people want, but without the compromise that often comes with all-in-one products. It feels tidy and accessible, but still properly hi-fi.
SoundEngine 2
At the core of the H150 is Hegel’s SoundEngine 2 amplifier topology, helping deliver a damping factor above 2,000 together with extremely low distortion.
In simple terms, SoundEngine 2 works a little like noise cancellation. It continuously compares the amplifier’s input and output, then counteracts distortion in real time. The result is a sound that stays clean, controlled and natural, with strong bass grip, convincing dynamics and very little sense of strain.
This is one of the reasons the H150 sounds more substantial than its size and power rating might suggest. It remains composed, confident and musically engaging, even when the speakers or the recording make real demands of it.
Seamless integration with external DACs
The H150 includes a coaxial digital output that can pass signals from its digital inputs directly to an external DAC. The DAC’s output can then be returned to one of the amplifier’s analogue inputs.
This DAC loop function gives the H150 unusual long-term flexibility for an amplifier at this level. You can enjoy its built-in streaming platform and connectivity today, then add an outboard DAC later if you decide to take the system further. That makes the H150 a sensible choice not just as a simple one-box amplifier, but as the foundation of a system that can evolve over time.

Features
Power & amplification
75 W per channel into 8 ohms
Controlled, musically assured power — more composed and gripping than the headline wattage alone might suggest.
Hegel SoundEngine 2
Error-cancelling amplifier technology that keeps distortion low and dynamics natural, contributing to a damping factor above 2,000.
Streaming
Latest-generation streaming platform
The same platform as the H400 and H600 — not a cut-down version. Includes Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect (lossless), AirPlay, Google Cast and UPnP.
Roon Ready
First-class Roon endpoint — the H150 appears as a zone and accepts hi-res audio directly from Roon Core.
Hegel Control app
Volume and input control, internet radio, podcasts and media server playback from a NAS or USB drive.
USB drive playback
Connect a flash drive or USB SSD and play directly via the Hegel Control app — no network or computer required.
Sources
MM phono stage
Connect a suitable turntable directly — no external phono preamp needed for moving magnet cartridges.
Balanced and unbalanced analogue inputs
One XLR balanced input alongside two RCA inputs for flexible source matching.
USB, coaxial and optical digital inputs
Computer audio, CD transport, TV and streaming source — all connected simultaneously.
Outputs & usability
Headphone output
A dedicated headphone stage for private listening without needing extra hardware.
DAC loop
The coaxial digital output passes signals to an external DAC, whose output returns via an analogue input — an upgrade path built in from the start.
Variable line output
Useful for subwoofer integration, a recording device or secondary amplifier.
TV remote compatibility & auto input sensing
Responds to most TV remotes and detects active inputs automatically — minimal setup for everyday use.
Design
Compact footprint
At 35 cm deep, the H150 fits comfortably into most furniture without requiring a dedicated equipment rack.
Black or white finish
Precision-milled aluminium front panel with OLED display, available in either finish at no extra cost.
How does the H150 compare to other Hegel integrated amplifiers?
The H150 is the second model in Hegel’s integrated amplifier range, stepping up from the H95 with a built-in phono stage, balanced XLR input, Roon Ready certification, and the full suite of lossless streaming services including TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect and Spotify lossless.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about streaming, vinyl playback or system matching? Here are some of the things customers most often ask about the Hegel H150.
The H150 builds on the much-loved H120 with Hegel’s latest streaming platform, a built-in moving magnet phono stage and USB-drive playback, while also delivering a stronger sense of grip, scale and musical authority. It remains compact and approachable, but feels more complete and more capable. In the current Hegel range it now sits between the H95 and H190v, combining modern streaming with the flexibility to anchor a more ambitious system.
Both are excellent integrated amplifiers, but they are designed for slightly different roles. The Hegel H95 is the most affordable way into the Hegel sound and works beautifully in simpler systems with easier-to-drive loudspeakers. The Hegel H150 steps up with more power, a more capable DAC section and a built-in moving magnet phono stage for turntables, as well as Hegel’s latest streaming platform with broader service support, including TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect and Roon Ready certification. In practice, the H150 makes more sense if you want a single amplifier that can comfortably anchor a more ambitious system with vinyl, streaming and demanding loudspeakers, while the H95 remains a superb choice for a simpler, more compact system.
Yes. With 2 x 75W of power, Hegel’s SoundEngine 2 technology and a damping factor above 2,000, the H150 can drive a wide range of loudspeakers with confidence and control. It is compact, but it does not sound lightweight.
Yes. The H150 includes a built-in moving-magnet phono stage, so you can connect a suitable turntable directly without needing an external phono preamp.
The H150 supports Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready and UPnP. The Hegel Control app also provides access to internet radio, podcasts and USB-drive playback.
Yes. With built-in streaming, DAC, MM phono stage and a wide range of analogue and digital inputs, the H150 can serve as the heart of a simple but serious hi-fi system.
Yes. The H150’s DAC loop function allows you to use its streaming platform and digital connectivity while adding an outboard DAC later if you choose.
Yes. That is one of its strengths. The H150 combines Hegel’s latest streaming platform with a built-in MM phono stage, making it a particularly attractive choice for listeners who want both modern convenience and an easy route into vinyl playback.
The H150 replaces the H120 and sits between the H95 and H190v in Hegel’s integrated amplifier range. It combines Hegel’s latest streaming platform with a built-in moving magnet phono stage and strong all-in-one functionality, making it a particularly attractive choice for listeners who want a single amplifier that can anchor a serious modern hi-fi system.
