About the Hegel H95
60W of genuine Hegel performance
The H95 delivers 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms, with the current delivery and speaker control that Hegel’s SoundEngine 2 technology makes possible. The damping factor of over 2,000 gives the amplifier a firm grip on loudspeaker drivers – the kind of control that tightens bass, clarifies midrange and keeps complex music organised under pressure.
This is not entry-level performance dressed up in premium packaging. The H95 uses the same core amplifier design philosophy as the more powerful models in Hegel range, scaled appropriately for its power output. Paired with the right speakers, it reveals considerably more than its price and power figure might suggest.
Amplifier, DAC and streamer in one box
The H95 includes a built-in DAC and music streamer alongside the amplifier, so a single box connected to your network and speakers is all you need to play music from a phone, a tablet, a computer or a network-attached storage device. AirPlay, Spotify Connect and DLNA/UPnP are all supported.
Connectivity and outputs
The H95 has two analogue inputs and six digital inputs – coaxial, optical and USB – alongside its network streaming input. Any input can be configured as fixed level or variable, which makes it straightforward to integrate the H95 into a system that includes other source components or a home theatre setup.
A variable preamp output makes subwoofer integration simple. The headphone output on the front panel is convenient for casual listening, though customers who use headphones seriously will find a dedicated headphone amplifier a worthwhile addition.
A clear white OLED display shows the selected input, volume level and other basic information, without unnecessary visual clutter.
