Full-size sound, slim footprint

The LS6/f is for listeners who want the scale of a proper floorstander without a pair of wardrobes in the living room. At just 220 mm wide, it is rated down to 40 Hz – deep enough for the bottom octaves of a bass guitar, a church organ’s pedal notes and the low-end weight of a film soundtrack – and it stands on its own, with no stands to buy, level or find room for.

Designed by Derek Hughes, it brings the Graham Audio approach to a cabinet that fills a room with sound rather than with furniture.

Thin walls, open sound

Tall cabinets have more panel area to resonate, which is why the LS6/f is built on the BBC’s thin-wall principle: thin panels with added mass, tuned so their resonances fall below the midrange rather than smearing it. The result is the open, uncoloured sound Graham Audio is known for. Vocals sound natural and close, acoustic instruments keep their texture, and you can listen for hours without the hardness that makes some speakers tiring.

A custom 165 mm polypropylene mid/bass driver and a 19 mm dome tweeter share the work, joined by a crossover that equalises the overall response so the two drivers sound like one.

Tuned to your room

Every room treats treble differently. A switch on the front panel lifts the tweeter by 1 dB or 2 dB, so if your carpets, curtains and sofa are absorbing sparkle, you can restore it in seconds. With 87 dB sensitivity and an 8 Ω load, the LS6/f pairs comfortably with integrated amplifiers from 50 W to 150 W – and we are always happy to suggest a match.

Five veneers, matched by hand

Each pair is veneered in hand-matched real wood – Cherry, Ebony, Oak, Rosewood or Walnut – with a grille held by concealed magnets for a clean front when it is removed. It is backed by a 5-year warranty.
