About the miniDSP Tide16
The Tide16 is a 16-channel immersive audio processor built around a dedicated quad-core ARM engine rather than the SHARC/TI DSP chipsets found in most AV processors, giving it more headroom to run Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and full-range Dirac Live correction simultaneously without compromise. It decodes and upmixes up to 16 channels, so it scales from a straightforward 5.1 system up to a full Atmos configuration with multiple subwoofers on one box.
Room correction is what makes the Tide16 truly exceptional. Dirac Live, Dirac Live Bass Control and Active Room Treatment are all included as standard. That means multi-subwoofer bass integration and advanced full-range room correction are available from the day it arrives, without the need to purchase additional licences.
Three HDMI inputs with eARC handle sources from an eARC-capable TV, while sixteen fully balanced XLR outputs and a flexible matrix mixer make it equally capable of driving a home cinema’s worth of speakers or a multi-way active stereo pair. Stereo playback isn’t an afterthought either: USB, Bluetooth (LDAC and aptX HD), analogue XLR/RCA and four S/PDIF inputs keep two-channel listening at the same audiophile-grade specification as the surround processing.

A web interface provides access to more advanced settings, while miniDSP’s Device Console software gives access to the full DSP toolbox.
Unlimited configuration presets
Different speaker layouts, sources or listening modes can each have their own saved DSP configuration.
Trigger and automation integration
12V trigger in/out plus an IR input let the Tide16 power up and down, or respond to commands, as part of a wider automation or multi-zone control setup.
