The Well Tempered Lab Versalex turntable uses a multi-layer Baltic plywood plinth finished with a walnut veneer top surface. Baltic plywood is dimensionally stable and has a very natural resonance, making it an ideal material for a turntable plinth.

Versalex uses a servo controlled DC motor with a vibration controlled mounting, a “zero clearance” platter bearing with a unique triangular bearing housing. The belt is a 0.004″ polyester monofilament.

The Well Tempered Lab Versalex turntable now ships as standard with the latest LTD tonearm (shown in the last photo). The LTD tonearm uses the same Symmetrex configuration as Well Tempered Lab’s classic “golf ball” tonearms, but is manufactured from premium materials to tighter tolerances. It provides enhanced tracking ability over even the most torturous groove modulation.
