Description
The Well Tempered Lab Versalex uses a multi-layer Baltic plywood plinth finished with a walnut veneer top surface. Baltic plywood is dimensionally stable and has a very natural resonance, making it an ideal material for a turntable plinth.
Versalex uses a servo controlled DC motor with a vibration controlled mounting, a “zero clearance” platter bearing with a unique triangular bearing housing. The belt is a 0.004″ polyester monofilament.
The Well Tempered Lab Versalex now ships with the latest LTD tonearm (as shown in the last photo). It uses the same Symmetrex configuration as Well Tempered Lab’s other tonarms, with a fully internally damped arm tube and a precision made golf ball suspended in silicone fluid for perfect damping, but with the added advantage of enhanced tracking ability over even the most torturous groove modulation.
