Dirac Live Room Correction

Dirac Live Room Correction is a software tool that optimises the performance of your audio system. It automatically identifies and compensates for any problem areas in your room for the best possible audio experience.

Dirac Live’s measurement and filter design software analyses how your room and speaker setup affect the interaction between sound waves and your space. By designing comprehensive corrections, it fixes any misalignment to improve clarity, imaging and balance. These corrections can then be applied to any audio signal using a Dirac Live-equipped audio processor, such as those from miniDSP.

Dirac Live is available in two versions, providing options for both 2-channel stereo systems and multi-channel home cinema systems.

Dirac Live-compatible 2-channel processors

These audio processors are capable of running 2-channel Dirac Live room correction. miniDSP SHD models include Dirac Live as standard, while Flex models require the purchase of a Dirac Live licence.

Dirac Live-compatible multi-channel processors

These minIDSP Flex HT-series audio processors are capable of running 8-channel Dirac Live room correction, with the purchase of a Dirac Live licence.

Measurement microphones for Dirac Live

Dirac Live uses real measurements of your system playing in your room to design its room correction filters, so an accurate measurement microphone is essential. miniDSP’s UMIK-series microphones are individually calibrated, and include built-in analogue-to-digital converters and a convenient USB output, for direct connection to your computer running Dirac Live’s measurement and filter design software
