About the Argon 3X
Argon 3X incorporates a high-end tweeter driver first introduced in Amphion‘s flagship speaker Krypton 3X. Combining timeless décor with studio-quality sound, the Argon 3X standmount loudspeakers house the same technologies that are in daily use where much of today’s widely loved music is created. It combines studio monitor level transparency, life-like imaging, with absolute precision and exquisite detail.
Argon 3X works equally well for music and movies. Experience new details and a deeper listening involvement – even from material you are familiar with.

1″ titanium tweeter (new)
Carried over from Amphion’s flagship Krypton 3X for lower distortion and wider bandwidth than the Argon 3S tweeter.
6½” aluminium woofer
Handles bass and midrange, loaded by a passive radiator for smooth low-end extension.
1600Hz crossover point
A deliberately low handover, made possible by controlled dispersion around the tweeter.
Revised crossover network
Re-engineered alongside the new tweeter for tighter integration through the midband.
Cabinet & waveguide
5th-generation waveguide
Controls tweeter dispersion for a wide, even sweet spot and easier off-axis integration with the woofer.
Passive radiator bass loading
Improves bass efficiency much like a port would, but works over a wider band for smoother extension.
Compact standmount footprint
Designed to work close to a rear wall, not just out in free space.
Handmade in Finland
Built and finished at Amphion’s own Kuopio factory.
Finish & options
Full White, Standard White, Black and Walnut finishes
Full White pairs a white cabinet with white grilles and waveguide; Standard White keeps the white cabinet but switches to black grilles and waveguide for more visual contrast.
Colour grilles in any RAL shade
Grille colour can be specified independently of the cabinet finish, and swapped later without replacing the speaker.
